"Belly of the world" highlighted the film festival.

 

“Goose World” - Flying Brick Productions. Producer-Steve Pribish reviewed by The Dayton Daly News and Montgomery County Library. Distributed World-wide; has appeared on TV and been the subject of newspaper articles, and presentations by libraries and other organizations. The 1995 winner of the Southern Sunshine Video Festival, a Philo award from the Midwest Alliance for Community Media and three Arnies from the Miami Valley Cable Council. Steve Pribish is a nationally recognized video producer and author. His TV shows include Street Beat, Fortress: The plane and her crews, Return of the warbirds and liberator, There will be crosses and Steve has won the Dayton Daily News short story contest in 1997.

"Holding Still" and "Nothing but the Dress," both written and directed by Amala Lane. Amala, born in Cincinnati has lived all around the world including Calcutta, Taiwan and the Czech Republic. She returned to Cincinnati to complete her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and as part of her undergrad thesis, she created a short film called Bridges which explored childhood memories. This was later submitted Columbia’s graduate film program garnering her admission in 1995. The two films here for the QC Film and Video Festival are works from her graduate student days at Columbia and have won numerous awards including The Milo’s Forman Fund (both 1999-2001), Achievement in directing and best film from the New York-LA student Film Festival in 2002. She had a documentary called Smooth Flight that aired on TV all across the country of Latvia and is screened at teen centers throughout the Baltic’s and Russia. It is about the trafficking of teens for the sex industry. Amala resides in New York and teaches film at Hofstra University and makes documentaries for non-profits and causes. She visits Cincinnati regularly to be with her partner and to see her sister and friends.

Has screened at Movie and Metal Hoedown, in both Columbus, Oh and Frostberg, Maryland 2002, Back alley Film Festival, Tucson, AZ 2003 and Sivad Festival of Independent Film, Columbus, Oh. 2003

Sonnyboo Productions, over 30 movies made since 1999, many featured in magazines such as Film & Video to newspapers such as NYC's Village Voice and on Tech TV. 17 shorts from director Peter John Ross have just been sold for worldwide distribution for Television, In Demand, and other broadcast rights.

"Mystery of the terminal count" Mystery about several abductions leading to a dramatic, surprising conclusion. The Countering Group with producers and actors Lonna Kingsbury and Lance Liming who also wrote the story along with Deb Richardson and KK Smith, editor Jennifer Schultz, director KK Smith, DP Eric Chatterjee, make up by Lesa Glevicky and Jenelle Rose with Ingrid Heithaus, and Julie Hruby also on the crew and additional performances by Patty Warner, Deb Richardson, Mark Umlauf, Jenelle Rose (Murray), Kevin Kunz, Bill Groh, Kathy Wedding, Carol Tyler, Mark Woods, Brent Keltch, Julia Greers Travis Sessler and Travis as the sword swallower.

Poet, playwright, songwriter, actress, Lonna Kingsbury's works have appeared in and on Appalachian Review, Cincinatlas, Clifton Magazine (University of Cincinnati), Collage (Northern Kentucky University), ICRC, Scrawl, Poetry Repair Shop, Red Crow, and River Valley Journal
among others. She currently holds the honor of Fellow from the international Fiction and Poetry Society. The Greater Miami Glen Township Performing Center has bestowed upon her the honor of Poet Laureate. Lonna has appeared on radio, television, and stage. The Dream Catcher, her first film, premiered in 1999.

"Backhand" Four detectives called on to investigate a possible abduction, become themselves, ensnared by a kinky pair of criminals. Written by Shawn Adams and David Ewers with a crew of Jonathon Schwarz, Red Paris, Shawn Adams, Brian Risdon, and Terresa Fadden. Also Emily Schmidt, R. David Daniels, Jerry Stone, Michael Schneider, Matt Whitehead, Jason Erwin, Ryan Michael Hisey, Wes Boatman, Scott McCormick, Sara Jane, Richard King, and James Adams.

"Belly of the world" audience tied winner of group 'B'. Dawn Sperling, efficiency expert, rarely takes a break. Working day after day, she has a world of things to take care of, but loneliness, and penchant for cowboys leads her to put her job briefly on hold for possible romance. However, without Dawn at her post, things quickly go awry. In a mad dash to get back to the office and restore order, we come to find out that Dawn and her sensual team of dancers, does indeed rock the world.
